You need this certificate while collecting the documents for the German national working visa

The evidence of your current employment (Nachweis über aktuelle Beschäftigung) is part of the documents listed on the website of the German embassy. On the screenshot 2 you see the checklist from the German Embassy in Israel.

If you do not find this certificate on the website of the German embassy in your country, you might be lucky - in your country it is not required. Although the lists on the website of the German Embassy are never complete. They admit this themselves by saying something like "There is a possibility that you might ask for the template further documents are requested".
